Overview

The Data Protection Act 2018 was designed to implement the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) into UK law, expanding on areas specific to British interests including law enforcement processing and national security protections. This module looks at what the Act does, how the GDPR applies and what the differences are, as well as the role of the Information Commissioner's Office in regulating the Act to ensure organisational compliance.
