Course Overview

Hepatitis refers to an acute or chronic inflammation of the liver that is usually caused by a hepatitis virus. This short course will provide you with a quick revision of the condition and is suitable for any non specialist healthcare professional that deals with travellers that are potentially exposed to Hepatitis B.

Course Objective

By the end of this course you will understand:

  • What hepatitis B is and how it is transmitted.
  • The signs and symptoms of hepatitis B.
  • The measures travellers can take to prevent hepatitis B.
  • The treatment and vaccines available.
