About the course

This online activity is designed to introduce learners to the Display Screen Equipment (DSE) guidance as part of the Health and Safety Regulations 1992 and consider how they affect employers and employees in a work environment.

With many employees now using their homes as a workspace, this activity will help managers and their teams understand the workplace environment they need to create and how to work safely with computers and screens.

The DSE regulations apply to anyone whose work involves regular use of display screen equipment and government guidance is that employers must provide health and safety training and information for DSE users.

You will be able to:

  • Explain the definition of display screen equipment and who can be defined as a DSE user
  • Identify health risks from improper DSE use
  • Demonstrate how to conduct a DSE risk assessment using the DSE checklist provided

Assessment:

Upon completion of the course, learners will complete an end of learning assessment.
