This e-learning course is suitable for anyone working or volunteering with children in any setting. It provides clear guidance on allegations against staff, including how to recognise and respond to an allegation against a member of staff, understand low-level concerns, and follow safer recruitment principles. The course also explains the role of the DSL and LADO, outlines best practice for managing allegations against staff, and explores how to support both children and staff while maintaining a strong safeguarding culture.

Course Content

  • Understanding Allegations - Explains how to recognise, record and report allegations against staff and low-level concerns, and outlines the processes involving the DSL, LADO and safer recruitment practices.
  • Support and Culture - Describes how to support children and staff during managing allegations against staff members, avoid unsafe practices, and build a strong safeguarding culture within organisations.
