Use of the assessment framework provides evidence to help, guide and inform judgements about children’s welfare and safety from the first point of contact, through the processes of assessment, planning and review.

  • Appreciate the principles that underpin many assessment frameworks
  • Identify whose needs are described and why
  • Understand the three domains, and associated dimensions, of a child and young people’s needs

Audience

This course is for people who interact with children in a safeguarding capacity or work in roles that engage with the framework.
