Module 1 - Bloodborne Pathogens in a Pharmacy Setting
Blood borne pathogens are potentially infectious materials in the blood that can cause disease when transmitted from one infected individual to another through blood or bodily fluids. This module provides awareness on the health dangers associated with Blood borne pathogen, personal protection equipment (PPE), and the importance of an Exposure Control Plan (ECP). Designed for mobile playback in any location, narration is optional and information is presented in short segments. This module is intended for the pharmacy workforce.
Module 2 - Combating Medicare Parts C & D Fraud, Waste, and Abuse
Every year billions of dollars are improperly spent because of fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA). This module is designed to meet the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) compliance training requirements for certain medical professionals. This module was authored so that an organization can include their specific policy for signoff at the end of the module. This module is intended for Medicare Parts C and D plan Sponsors’ employees, governing body members, and their first-tier, downstream, and related entities (FDRs).
Module 3 - Cultural Competency in the Pharmacy Setting
Cultural issues are actually central in the delivery of health services. This module will explore key concepts that determine cultural competency and provide insight to help you become a culturally competent pharmacy professional. Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, healthcare providers who are reimursed by health insurance plans must provide cultural competency training to their employees.
Module 4 - HIPAA Privacy, Security and HITECH for Pharmacy Workforce
Compliance with the HIPPA law is essential for any business that comes in contact with protected health information (PHI). This module informs the learner about HIPAA Privacy, Security, HITECH and what to do if there is a breach notification. This module is intended for the pharmacy workforce.
Module 5 - Hazard Communication Standard and GHS for Pharmacy Workforce
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), under a program called the Hazardous Communication Standard or HAZCOM, requires that employers notify employees of their RIGHT TO KNOW what hazards they face on the job, and how to protect themselves.
