Did you know that young people are 50% more likely to get injured at work than anyone else? We think that’s too high so this module focuses on what you must do to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of young people at work.

Objectives

At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:

  • Identify who is classed as a ‘young person’
  • Distinguish between related legislation
  • Identify common hazards and risks
  • Identify applicable rules in relation to young people
  • Recognise contributory factors which increase the risk for young people
  • Take appropriate action to keep young people safe at work
