Display Screen Equipment (DSE) eLearning Course
Course Overview
This course overcomes the risks of poor DSE setup and encourages the learner to create a more comfortable working environment. It empowers learners to identify any shortcomings in their current workstation setup and promotes approaches to reduce the risk of discomfort and injury.
With the recent increase in home and remote working, it is equally important to ensure that people have their Display Screen Equipment (DSE) set up correctly.
Many people spend a large proportion of time using computers, phones, laptops, and other similar mobile devices. This leads us to prolonged periods of sitting or staying still (sedentary) that contribute towards negative health issues such as MSD (musculoskeletal disorders) and fatigue.
Course Objectives
The Display Screen Equipment (DSE) course looks in detail at:
- What is DSE?
- Correct workstation setup
- Assessing risks
- Improving comfort
Course Content
Course learners will understand the most common health risks associated with prolonged use of DSE. What actions need to be taken to mitigate these risks, such as correctly setting up workstations and equipment.
The knowledge and competence of the learners is checked with a short interactive assessment at the end of the course.
