Course Overview

Staff retention is crucial for any organisation that wants to build a strong, experienced, motivated team of employees. During their time at a company, staff develop important connections with their colleagues and customers. They also master the tasks they carry out and become more efficient at getting things done.

Too much staff turnover is both costly and disruptive. New staff take time to train and there’s no guarantee that they’ll easily fit in or work to the same standard. It’s much more effective to retain existing staff.

In this course, we’ll look at strategies for increasing retention by supporting staff and providing them with opportunities within the organisation.

Firstly, we’ll look at ways to make staff feel supported as people, helping them to achieve a work/life balance that is right for them.

Then we look at how to support staff through training and education to help them grow and reach their goals. We then examine ways to make staff feel valued and recognised for their hard work and achievements.

Finally, we look at creating opportunities for career progression.

This microlearning course is an animated video, with audio narration and a multiple-choice post-assessment.
