Introduction to the Metaverse for Law eLearning Course
Overview
The metaverse survived its consumer collapse as enterprise and industrial use, and that shift now raises real legal questions. This practical, jargon-free course gives lawyers in any practice area a clear grounding in ownership, contracts, jurisdiction, privacy, safety and employment inside virtual environments, across the UK, the EU and the UAE, as at September 2026. Four short units, general awareness only.

- What survived the consumer metaverse hype, and where enterprise and industrial use is now legally relevant
- The intellectual property questions raised by virtual goods and brand experiences, including current trade mark filing practice
- How platform terms of use determine who owns what a user creates or buys inside a virtual environment
- How ordinary contract-formation principles apply inside virtual environments, and where the genuinely hard jurisdiction questions lie
