Course Overview

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, known as PUWER, set clear legal requirements for how work equipment must be selected, used and maintained.

Work equipment includes everything from hand tools and ladders to forklifts and industrial machinery. When equipment is unsuitable, poorly maintained or used incorrectly, it can lead to serious injuries.

This practical course explains what PUWER means for you. Whether you operate equipment, supervise others or assess risk, you'll learn how to spot hazards, follow safe systems of work and help prevent serious injury.
