Overview

The Earthmoving Equipment course covers the key risks associated with working around earthmoving equipment on construction sites. Learners will explore how to read a work zone, recognize changing conditions, and understand the shared responsibilities between employers and employees for maintaining a safe jobsite. Topics include equipment danger zones, pre-use inspections, machine guarding, load ratings, roadway and grade safety, and power line clearance. Through real-world scenarios, an interactive VR simulation, and a short quiz, learners will build the awareness and confidence to make safer decisions on the jobsite. An interactive simulation is available for desktop, mobile, and VR headsets. Drawn from OSHA Standard: 1926.20 - .21, .178, .300, .550, .600 - .602, and industry best practices.
