Overview

This Act imposes a new duty on employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their employees. All employers must be able to demonstrate that they have enacted measures to prevent sexual harassment taking place. By making this a statutory requirement, the legislation aims to create safer and more respectful working environments.

Objectives
